Terms of service

The following terms apply to every shipment booked through McKonnen Auto Carriers, Inc. ("McKonnen," "we," "us"). By requesting a quote or booking a shipment, you agree to these terms.

  1. Broker role. McKonnen Auto Carriers, Inc. operates as a licensed property broker (MC# 556120, DOT# 1472802) and arranges transport through a network of independent, FMCSA-authorized motor carriers. McKonnen does not itself transport vehicles.
  2. Quotes and pricing. Quotes are estimates based on the information provided at the time of the request. Final pricing can change if vehicle details, pickup or delivery locations, or timing change after booking.
  3. Booking and deposit. A non-refundable deposit secures your place in the schedule. The deposit is separate from the carrier's payment, which is due at delivery unless other terms are agreed to in writing.
  4. Carrier assignment. McKonnen assigns your shipment to a carrier from its vetted network based on route, availability, and vehicle type. Vetting includes a review of active operating authority, safety history, and insurance coverage.
  5. Pickup and delivery windows. Pickup and delivery dates are estimates, not guarantees. Weather, mechanical issues, traffic, and other shipments on the same route can affect timing.
  6. Vehicle condition. The vehicle owner or their representative must inspect the vehicle at pickup and delivery and note any damage on the carrier's bill of lading before signing. Signing without noting damage limits the ability to file a claim afterward.
  7. Cancellations. Deposits are non-refundable. If a shipment is canceled after a carrier has been dispatched, additional cancellation fees may apply.
  8. Claims. Damage claims go through the carrier's cargo insurance. McKonnen will help start that claims process, but the carrier's insurer determines the outcome.
  9. Payment. Payment methods and timing are confirmed at booking. Balances due at delivery are typically paid directly to the carrier's driver.
  10. Limitation of liability. McKonnen's liability is limited to the brokerage services it provides. McKonnen is not liable for a carrier's acts, delays, or damage beyond what the carrier's cargo insurance covers.
  11. Changes to these terms. McKonnen may update these terms from time to time. The version posted at the time of booking applies to that shipment.
